DL Skateboards

I first became acquainted with DL skateboards through the website for SALT Surfboards.

SALT is a New York based surfboard company that makes well crafted, simple surfboards in California for the New York surfer.

Now, the DL skateboards are just as beautiful, and just as unique.

They measure 28.5″ x 7 1/8″ long, which brings them just shy of your regular skateboard. So no, not a semi longboard of any stretch.

The skateboards are each hand shaped, and hand painted in California, and 100% one of a kind. Yes, they are beautiful boards. They will take custom orders too, even though these boards are all custom made as it is.

I like their website about page, I quote: “DL Skateboards are handmade by Derek and Lauren in the mountains of north Los Angeles.  DL Skateboards are functional as an art piece, but they were made to cruise. You will love the way they ride.”

They also make their own grip out of “Topanga beach sand, sunlight, a little time, and our own special stew of water based urethane.”
