October 18th was the launch of a local events group called Tangoo (rhymes with dew). I was asked to join them to capture the event with my camera, and enjoy in some of the fun as well!

It was actually a pretty interesting experience, going to three different local establishments and feeling each’s respective vibe.

How it works.

As a Tangoo client, you buy a seat for the night. The kind folks at Tangoo take care of everything from here. On this opening night, there were two separate parties of 30+ patrons in each. The party that I followed started at  Tarracotta in Gastown, walked over to Catch 122 across from the W2 building downtown Vancouver, then over to Taste, a cool little late night area for some nice drinks.

The crowd had a great feeling to it, the founders of Tangoo gave off a really friendly feeling and made the guests feel relaxed and encouraged them to have a fun time. I enjoyed how patrons were encouraged to eat and mingle with each other. Ending the night at Taste, which had a very large center table, everybody was able to congregate. By this time most of the guests had had a few drinks and were feeling in the mood to mingle!
